Hi there,
We're a Vietnamese couple currently doing our MS/PhD at UMass Boston. We'll move to a new apartment in Wollaston Beach, Quincy this Aug 31st. The apt has 2 bedrooms, and we're looking a roommate who can move in this Aug 31st/Sep 1st.
The apt rent is $1275 including heat & hot water (each bedroom costs $637.50), bright & nice, about 750 square feet, on the top floor of a 4-floor apt building. Laundry in building. The electricity + internet bills should be between $30 - $40 in total depends on which time of the year. During winter, we only use electricity for cooking and lighting (the current tenant told me that he only pays about $20 for the whole apt's electricity bill in winter); in summer, the bill should be relatively higher because of the A/C.
It's 6 mins walking from Wollaston red line T, 12 mins walking from the beach, close to CVS, Hannaford, Right Aid, and many other shops & restaurants. Even though it is close to big streets, its neighborhood is still so nice and quiet, we like it a lot.
We did have to pay a broker fee of 1/2 month rent, and this will be shared by you & us. Each bedroom pays $318.75 one time broker fee. You will also pay a security deposit of $637.50, and of course your September rent of $637.50 to move in.
We're easy going, clean, respectful, LGBT friendly, and spend much time at school. I love cooking & eating, a lot! I cook once a day, sometimes twice, and mostly cook Asian food.
We love to have a friendly roommate who is also clean, neat, pays rent on time; does not do drugs. If you have a good sense of humor, it's a big plus :).
