Hi Dana,

I could shoot your wedding, do a pre-bridal shoot and give you a disc of images for $1000 without an assistant. Unfortunately the cost of quality wedding albums, along with the amount of time required to create them, makes them rather expensive when done properly. The company I use to print albums costs me about $300 per album. And I have to spend a minimum of 20 to 40 hours to design the album, so my albums start at $650 and can go as high as $1000. But the average album, 10x10, 20 spread magazine layout will run you about $800.

For an affordable album, what I recommend my clients do is take my images to a professional lab, and print out the images that you want to include in a matted album. And then order the album online. I believe some nice leather bound albums start at $100.

I understand that your budget is at $650, but I feel the kind of photographer you will find at that price might not have much experience, nor have the proper equipment and training. But I am new to the area, and trying to get established, so I would be willing to do the work for you at a price lower than what I would typically charge. I can give you some great images, as well as give you rights to print the images from any lab you choose. I would be willing to discuss working out a payment plan, as well.
