I live a very quiet life as work wears me out. I usually just like to hang out in my room and quietly watch TV. Some evenings I am out playing in my band.

I got your response to my company's ad for "shared work space" in the Civic Center area (1 to 3 office rooms within suite of 15 offices). But your ad above says you're looking for a place to live. I happen to have a large 3+ bedroom charming Craftsman house near Lake Merritt in Oakland for which I'm looking for a housemate, after a recent (year ago) divorce from my ex (woman) partner. My 9 yr. old son is there 2-3 nights a week. The room is large and can be private, and the house has 2 bathrooms, but both are shared (1 upstairs, 1 downstairs). There's a backyard with vegetable garden and large deck, woodstove in living room, dining room, clawfoot tub in bath.
I know you said SF, but it takes me 30 min to drive to work (I pick up carpoolers) or 40 min to walk via Bart (door to door). I work in Civic Center--if you work in Financial District, you could walk to casual carpool in 10 min. and get a free ride into the Financial District in about 35 min. total. I often spent more time commuting when I lived in the City....
