FAQ

For Consumers

1. How does it work for consumers?
As a consumer, you submit a service request and authorize us to contact local service providers. We contact the providers and invite them to bid on your request. You can choose to be connected to the provider by phone or email while keeping your identity anonymous. See How It Works for details.

2. Can I remain anonymous?
Yes, since Questbid contacts service providers for you, you don’t have to disclose any personal information. So, as the consumer, you control what information to disclose to service providers.

3. How does QuestBid keep my phone number private?
All providers can follow up on your request via our website.
But if you prefer to talk to qualified providers, we will ask the providers whether they want to bid on your request. Only those that answer “Yes” will have the chance to be connected to you.
Questbid connects the provider to you via a phone call without disclosing your phone number.

4. Why am I not getting calls even though I have allowed providers to connect with me?
For QuestBid to connect providers to you, you must provide a phone number to Questbid and the providers must want to bid on your request.

5. Why am I not getting any bids?
Your request needs to be genuine and detailed for providers to determine whether it will lead to a meaningful transaction. Requests that are bogus or lack details will not interest busy providers. Please review our Code of Conduct to enhance your chance to receive a quality bid.

For Providers

1. How does QuestBid help service providers?
Service providers receive a real, custom lead, either by email or phone. You can directly communicate with consumers by phone or on QuestBid's website. Instead of spending money on advertising, you can focus on your customers to win their business. See How it works for details.

2. Why did I receive a phone call from QuestBid when I haven’t registered on the site?
We obtain publicly available information about your business from sources like the Yellow Pages. After a consumer authorizes QuestBid to contact you, we’ll reach out to you by phone or email.
If you do not wish to receive phone calls, please send us an email to remove your number from QuestBid’s free lead service. Alternatively you can call QuestBid at area code 650-488-8415 to opt out.

3. I am willing to try your service, what is the cost?
QuestBid is completely free for both consumers and providers. QuestBid's highly efficient system allows us to provide free custom leads service indefinitely.

4. I receive a phone inquiry, but there is no request identification for me to follow up after the call. How do I follow up?
Don’t worry, we make it extremely easy. Go to QuestBid.com and enter the phone number at which you were contacted. We’ll pull the request and after you register, all your inquires will be listed under the “Incoming Inquiries” page under your account.

5. Isn't this a telemarketing call?
First of all, we believe that as a business provider, you would like to receive relevant customer leads. Isn't that what your business number exists for?
Second, if you wish not to receive our service, you can easily opt out by contacting us.
Third, QuestBid only sends calls to business providers.

6. Why don't you give me the customer's phone number so I can call the customer directly?
Most customers do not want to give up their phone number just to receive a quote. Still you are able to be connected to the customer and talk directly. Our customers tell us that this is one of main reasons they love QuestBid.
Alternatively, you can always follow up online. Go to QuestBid.com and enter the phone number at which you were contacted and the request will be presented for you to respond.
